NASA SpaceAppsChallenge is an international hackathon that occurs over 30 hours in cities around the world. Coders, scientists, designers, storytellers, makers, builders, artists, technologists and enthusiasts come together to address challenges we face on Earth and in Space.

The 2018 NASA International SpaceAppsChallenge will take place on October 19-21. Last year, over 25,000 people developed more than 2,000 projects over hackathon weekend. This year´s theme is Earth and Space.

In Berlin we are hosted by the Motionlab, one of the biggest Makerspaces in the world, where we have access to modern tools from soldering, CNC milling, 3D printing to welding or woodworking. The participants work in 2 warehouse style halls (next to each other) with over 4,500sqm. One hall is dedicated to science and technology, the other will blend science and art.

Grand finale of the event is an exibition of all the work done on Sunday afternoon, open to both public and press.
